Senior Conservation Architect

Base Salary: Between £35,000 – £60,000 dependent on experience, plus a bonus scheme.

Operating principally in London and the Home Counties, Janus Conservation Ltd  is a specialist and respected firm of architects, surveyors and heritage consultants with a proven track record of delivering a wide range of projects using traditional procurement and a variety of contract types.

We work with some of the country’s most important historic buildings and structures dealing with complex and challenging projects. Current clients include the National Trust, Rothschild Estate and The Crown Estate, along with many smaller domestic clients.

This role would suit a chartered architect with around 3 – 5 years post qualification experience across a broad range of skills and with a strong conservation lean – having either achieved or working towards a conservation accreditation with the IHBC or RIBA/ARB.

We are looking for someone to play a key role in the practice, helping to manage and develop the architecture arm of the company. Candidates should have a good working knowledge of statutory approvals, conservation philosophy and the ability to lead on detailing and new design, with strong design software skills and experience working directly with clients and builders/contractors.

The person we are looking for will need to have good conservation knowledge and experience working with historic buildings, good technical skills and strong contract administration and leadership skills.

We offer a friendly and supportive environment, home/flexible working, and a forward-thinking attitude to work life balance, including flexible Fridays with agreement.

The compensation package includes a generous and ethical pension scheme and private health insurance.
