Historic building survey in Watlington

Blenheim House, Watlington, Oxfordshire – Grade II

We are acting as lead consultants on the repair and renovation of this beautiful grade II listed cottage in Watlington, Oxfordshire.

The building has been coated in a very hard cementitious render which has (as cement does) cracked and is trapping moisture behind it. This can cause a plethora of issues including internal damp and rot or woodboring insect attack to timber elements such as lintels or bonding timbers.

The roof has also now reached the end of its useful life and requires replacing, with an element of joinery repairs to the timber structure.

Janus Associates have secured listed building consent for the works, designed repairs and are acting as contract administrators through the construction phase.
